Nor'easter Ida
Surfing off Four Mile River (Lyme, CT) in the wake of this week's nor'easter.
The remnants of Hurricane Ida left us with a stiff gusty wind, a grey misty day punctuated by occasional downpours, and nice waves, mostly two footers at first but building to 4-5 feet as the tide went out.
A nice day and my first combat roll in over a year, when I wasn't paying especially close attention at the end of the day.
That's the crew on the beach near Patagansett Marsh, Bill hooking into a little roller, and a touch of bittersweet on the shore.
